About This Spot

Stepping into Under The Sea International Cuisine, you’re gently transported from the sun-soaked shores of Punta Cana into an immersive, blue-hued world that whispers of ocean depths and quiet tides. The restaurant’s design, thoughtfully crafted, conjures the calming sensation of dining beneath gentle waves—creating a mood that’s both tranquil and intriguingly atmospheric without ever feeling distant or staged. Here, the pace slows ever so slightly, inviting you to savor moments as much as meals.

The soft lighting dances across the nautical-inspired décor, making it a perfect setting for both intimate dinners and relaxed gatherings. It’s a space where the sea’s stories feel close, yet you remain grounded in the warm, inviting hum of shared human experience. Conversations flow easily, and the attentive, personable staff enhance the feeling of being welcomed rather than served.

On the plate, Under The Sea offers more than just food; it serves up a thoughtful exploration of flavors drawn from coastal traditions and international flair. From the subtle freshness of the catch of the day to the comforting familiarity of surf and turf combinations, every bite feels like a quiet celebration of the sea’s bounty paired with carefully curated accompaniments. Delicate starters invite discovery without overwhelming, encouraging an approach where each course reveals its character slowly and satisfyingly.

The atmosphere makes room for all kinds of guests — from families finding ease and warmth in a lively yet well-paced dining rhythm, to couples soaking in the nuanced ambiance that gently bridges the elegance of an underwater reverie with the casual joy of good company. The overall experience feels crafted to encourage you to linger just a bit longer, connecting senses, stories, and moments in a place that truly honors its name.

A great experience overall. Food was phenomenal (particularly the octopus and tuna/avocado tartar appetizers). Desserts were great too (lemon tart). Maria was a fantastic waitress! Would highly recommend!

Nice place. Very spacious. The tuna tartare was good. The Diamond Combo for 2 is quite big. It would be a mistake to fill up in the appetizers.

The Under The Sea restaurant in the Punta Cana resort was by far the best of all the restaurants that I visited in terms of the ambience and was very well designed which actually gave a feeling of being under the sea. We ordered Chef’s Salad & Crab Croquette from the Appetizers, Sea Skewer & Chicken in Mushrooms Sauce from the Main Course and Fried fish fingers & Pasta with Tomato and Basil from the Kids menu. All the dishes were okay but the portions were small. I personally liked the Sea Skewer better than the others. The fish was grilled well and it tasted good with the curry rice. I didn’t see any corns and coconut in the dish though. For desserts, we ordered Lemon Tart and Crème Brûlée. The Lemon Tart wasn’t that good and the Crème Brûlée didn’t look like an actual Crème Brûlée. It was too sweet and had to be left out. The server for our table was a very nice gentleman and was always checking about the food or anything we needed. His service was exceptional. Overall it was a great experience dining at this beautiful restaurant!

Ate here early (1800) with out very young child, and the service was great. All the staff interacted with our child especially wilmont, which meant dinner was a dream. The food was really nice and there was no waiting for courses. Would visit again

It is not open every day and reservations are required. You need to use royalton app to make reservations and trick is to do that after 5pm for next day. Even then we had to wait 10-15 min to be seated but after that service was fast. Our waiter Joel was pleasant. Appetizers were very small size so order atleast one for each person. Main dish was good. Best was the goat stew...very well cooked. Lemon pie was tasty too

Great food well presented! Lovely setting. Not limited to fish, steak offered! Enjoyed the meal, and service was friendly!
